Curriculum Enrichment

We are proud of our enrichment programme which offers children the opportunity to develop new skills in a range of areas. We believe in enriching the lives of our pupils with a range of extracurricular clubs and opportunities run by the school, as well as with external visits, guest speakers, and more. These are available to children as they move through the school, and information is sent to parents throughout the year.

We aim to open children up to experiences that broaden the curriculum on a regular basis. All year groups provide planned enrichment opportunities throughout the year in support of the child’s enrichment passport. These will include offsite visits and visitors as well as chance to explore a varied selection of challenges.

Examples of in-school events include living history opportunities, Theatre companies,  author visits online, local community representatives, The Mad Scientist Dance and Performing Arts, Living Eggs and local Police Officers.

Examples of offsite visits include opportunites to visit How Hill, Time and Tide Museum, Norwich Puppet Theatre, Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve, East Norfolk Sixth Form, Sports competitions e.g. Athletics, Gymnastics and Football. All the children enjoy games and activities in school at lunchtime and after-school, using a variety of equipment.

Over the school year, after-school enrichment clubs can include choir, Drama, Construction challenges, Chess, Multisports, Recorders, Board Gaming, Hair Art, Face Art, Dance, Lego, Crochet, Basketball, Art and Eco Club.
