Emergency Closures

In the event of Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy having to perform an emergency closure, the following process will be put into place.

1. If not already aware, site team will notify the Principal of the issue.
2. Contingency measures investigated and where appropriate implemented.
3. In the event of site having to close before the start of the academy day:
   – local radio will be notified.
   – text message sent to all parents via all current mobile phone numbers/ParentMail.
   – academy website will be updated with further information.
   – social media feed will also be updated
   – we will endeavour to provide parents with this information before 8am wherever possible.
4. In the event of the academy having to close during the academy day:
   – parents will be notified via text message via all current mobile phone numbers/ParentMail.
   – academy website will be updated with further information.
   – social media feed will also be updated.
5. Site team will keep the Principal updated throughout the emergency closure in order to make arrangements and decisions about the next academy day.
