Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy follows the National Curriculum to teach Music.
Our children enjoy weekly Music lessons delivered through a scheme from Kapow Primary. Our intention is that children gain a firm understanding of what music is through listening, learning music vocabulary, singing, playing, evaluating, analysing and composing across a wide variety of historical periods, styles, traditions and musical genres. We focus on developing the skills, knowledge and understanding that children need in order to become confident performers, composers and listeners. We want all children to feel that they are musical and to develop a life-long love of music.
Throughout the year children have the opportunity to join the choir, recorder clubs and keyboard club as well being part of various performances.
