Year 6 Active Leaders

Leading the Way to a More Active School

We are delighted to introduce our Year 6 Active Leaders, a dedicated group of pupils who have taken on an important leadership role within our school community. Active Leaders support the planning and delivery of sporting activities and play a key part in promoting physical activity, teamwork and healthy lifestyles across the school.

Their role is to help ensure that sporting opportunities are inclusive and accessible to all pupils, encouraging everyone to take part in activities they enjoy and to develop a lifelong love of being active.

As Active Leaders, the children will:

• Work alongside staff and pupils to organise and support intra-school competitions and sporting events.
• Help promote opportunities for children to achieve the recommended 60 active minutes each day.
• Champion the values of sport, including respect, teamwork, determination and fair play.
• Act as positive role models for younger pupils across the school.
• Gather pupil voice through surveys and discussions, helping to shape the future of sport and physical activity within the school.

We are incredibly proud of our Active Leaders and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have in encouraging participation, developing leadership skills and enhancing sporting opportunities for all members of our school community.
