Last week, our Year 4 children had a fantastic opportunity to sail on the Norfolk Broads. The trip fitted in beautifully with both our humanities topic and our reading text – Wind in the Willows. Children were kept very busy with land based activities and sailing traditional wooden yachts. We all now know that boats are moored, not parked, and steered not driven! Although the weather did its best to dampen spirits, our children had a thoroughly enjoyable day with tillers, jibs and finding their inner Mr Toad!
