OAT Science Challenge

Year 5 take part in the OAT Science Challenge

As an academy we provide wonderful opportunities for children to enhance their learning. In Science, the Trust challenged our Year 5 children to think about the use of electricity within our homes and find ways that a house could reduce their electricity bills that will still allow people to live comfortably. They had to present their findings on an A4 piece of paper and incorporate scientific language. Overall, the trust had nearly 400 entries and we are proud to announce that Aubrey, from Year 5, attained 3rd place and was presented with a variety of vouchers and an amazing scientific kit. All the children enjoyed this challenge and the standard was extremely high, it is wonderful to see that their hard work is rewarded.
