Year Two's First Laptop Adventure

Well Done, Year Two!

In computing, Year Two have been learning about how technology works through algorithms and data input and output. We looked at how we can give a computer an instruction (input) using the mouse, keys, or buttons and something would happen (the output).
We used Lego to create our own algorithms – and challenged our partner to follow these instructions to make the same model. The children logged onto the school laptops for the first time and explored through paint what they could get the computer to do. They had to select the correct tool for what they needed, choose colour, and use the mouse to select where they wanted to draw.
