Our Student Voice Representatives Take Part in Regional Meeting

Year 5 pupils proudly represented our Academy as they connected with peers across the Trust to share ideas and develop leadership skills.

Our Academy’s Regional Student Voice Representatives had their first online meeting with other representatives from  OAT Primary and Secondary Academies. They had the opportunity to develop their communication and negotiation skills in preparation for future meetings, as they will be collecting the thoughts and wishes of their fellow students over the coming weeks to feed back and discuss at the next meeting.

The two representatives were elected by democratic vote within Year 5, after a short list of six candidates prepared and delivered speeches  to the entire Key Stage 2 cohort during an assembly; it was a very close result with all candidates running impressive campaigns.  All children who submitted applications should feel very proud of their efforts.
