Where Effort Meets Excellence: Cliff Park’s Year of Achievement

It has been an amazing year at Cliff Park Primary Academy and we have much to celebrate. A really successful new nursery, brilliant results in phonics, Year 4 Times Tables, Year 6 SATs and so much progress attained across the whole academy. 

We have celebrated lots of sporting successes including primary Chess Champions and Under 11s football success. However, it is a time to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 6 students.

Outstanding Achievement in English

Highly Commended: Teddy and Harley

The award for outstanding achievement in English is for a student who has shown excellent skill, understanding and ability in all areas of the subject. This pupil’s use of vocabulary is exceptional and their writing is always a joy read. They always strive to complete their best piece of work and are a testament that hard work leads to success. Additionally, they achieved Greater Depth in both Reading and Grammar in their SATs. The award for outstanding achievement in English goes to Emi.

Outstanding Achievement in Maths

Highly Commended: Guilherme and Henry

The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Maths is presented to a pupil who has consistently shown exceptional skill and dedication across all areas of mathematics. This child stands out as one of the most determined I have ever met. Their positive attitude towards learning is evident in every lesson, always striving to challenge themselves and reach new heights. This determination was clearly reflected in their KS2 SATs results, where they dropped just 3 marks across all three maths papers.

The award for outstanding achievement in maths goes to Siya.

Outstanding Overall Academic Achievement

Highly Commended: Henny and Finley

The Malayalee Trophy. The award for outstanding academic achievement is for a pupil who has received the highest combined score across all KS2 SATs papers. This child received a Scaled Score of 120 in maths, reading and grammar. It is not possibly to have done any better. They dropped only five marks, out of a total of two hundred and thirty. A truly remarkable child who deserves recognition for everything they have achieved so far. A wonderful role model for both their peers in Year Six, and our younger pupils as well.

The award for outstanding academic achievement goes to Macy.

Inspirational Learner

Highly Commended: Leo and Paige

An inspirational learner is someone who has had to face challenges but despite this has maintained a fantastic work ethic and attitude towards learning. The recipient of this award has displayed this consistently each day they come into school– they are resilient, determined and they persevere. They have made admirable progress this year and should be proud of their successes. The award for inspirational learner goes to Olivia.

Outstanding Effort and Resilience

Highly Commended: Herbie and Alen

The award for outstanding effort and resilience goes to a pupil who has shown dedication all year to succeeding, and as a result has achieved fantastic results. They have come into school every day with a smile on their face and a positive attitude towards learning and self-development. This pupil has persevered all year and is now reaping the rewards for their hard work and determination. They deserve recognition for everything they have worked hard for this year and should be extremely proud of their achievements. The award for outstanding effort and resilience goes to Rylie.

Outstanding Achievement in Sport

Highly Commended: Finnley and Freddie

The award for outstanding achievement in sport goes to someone who has not only shown remarkable talent, but also unwavering dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship—qualities that truly define excellence in sport. This pupil has continued to set examples to their peers and younger children of the academy by being selected as a sports captain, where they have excelled in this role. They always play sport with a smile on their face whilst showing great support to their teammates as well as showing a high level of maturity. This pupil has been pivotal in the academy’s sporting success over the years and deserves recognition for their exceptional achievements. The award for outstanding achievement in sport goes to Leo.

Outstanding Achievement in Arts

Highly Commended: Juan and Zhirou

We are fortunate at Cliff Park to have some many talented children and so many opportunities for them to express themselves. The award for outstanding contribution to the arts is given to a child who has consistently committed time in school to be a part of the many extra-curricular clubs we have. This child has been a member of the choir for four years, as well as recorder club, and has more recently been learning to play the violin. They have represented the academy with distinction on multiple occasions including carol festivals and visits local care homes and churches. They have been involved in our Summer Showcase for each of the past four years, always setting a wonderful example of our younger children and showing them what can be achieved with dedication and a wonderful attitude. The award for outstanding contribution to the arts goes to Jonah.

Highly Commended: Chloe and Darcey

The recipient of this award has consistently represented the Academy in a variety of roles and has approached each one with enthusiasm and maturity. They have set an excellent example for the rest of the year group, including the younger children. They are a valued and respected member of the school council and their contributions have had a positive impact on our school. The award for outstanding ambassador goes to Asha.
