Year 3 Time and Tide visit

“Surviving the Stone Age”

Last week, Year 3 children attended the Time and Tide Museum and were set the challenge of “Surviving the Stone Age” while learning the skills and knowledge they would need. They learnt how to build a shelter using sticks, rope, and animal fur alongside how to carefully hunt and track animals. One of the workshops gave the children the opportunity to discover some real artefacts such as a step-mammoth’s tooth, flint tools, skulls, and footprints. It was an exciting and engaging introduction to our new topic this half term.
