Year 5 - Gets creative at ENSFC

Pupils enjoy performances hosted by The Young Out There project

This week, Children in Year 5 had the opportunity to see performances from world-renowned artists and get the chance to ask them questions about their creative careers. The Young Out There project focuses on quality experiences deigned for local young people and provided our students with opportunities to meet and collaborate with a diverse range of artistic disciplines.

In addition, the children got stuck in crafting by creating their own percussion instruments using sustainable materials. Their musical creations will feature in the Beach of Dream – Flag Parade at the Out There Festival.

There artistic creations were also used to help create Great Yarmouth’s bespoke sweatshirt fabric! Using stencils of iconic landmarks, fabric inks, paints and rollers, they designed a tapestry that represents Great Yarmouth in all its glory!

Before returning to school, they managed to relax and enjoy themselves when they experienced the joy of playing real life-sized versions of classic arcade games in an interactive game zone. A highly engaging mix of fun, laughter and physical play.
